How to make our Almond Afterlife Affogato
Make an Affogato with our Almond Afterlife coffee
We've recently introduced our Almond Afterlife limited-edition flavor available exclusively on our website — and damn, is it good. With notes of roasted almond and sweet biscotti, this flavor could truly wake the dead.
Featuring the radical strength of robusta beans with the balanced, smooth taste of arabica, blended with natural flavoring, you can skip guilt and go straight to pleasure. But if you're like us, we say screw guilt and drown your to-do list (or throw it away) in an Almond Afterlife Affogato.
"Affagato" comes from the Italian word "drowned" — and trust us when we say you're going to want to drown yourself in naturally flavored almond biscotti coffee and indulgent vanilla ice cream. Is there any better combination?
Make the best-tasting dessert in 4 easy steps — but first thing's first: Grab yourself some Almond Afterlife.
How To Make an Almond Affogato
Traditional affogato is made with a single scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream, a chilled glass and two ounces of strong coffee. The espresso isn’t supposed to melt the ice cream but rather run down the side of it and create a small pool of espresso at the bottom. The chilled glass is used for this reason, but have no fear—if you don’t have time for that step, your affogato will still be just as delicious.
Ingredients:
- Vanilla ice cream of your choosing
- Chilled glass
- 2 ounces of Almond Afterlife
- Bonus ingredient: Biscotti, because of course you need a little crunch
Directions:
- Chill a glass by placing it in the freezer for a minimum of 30 minutes
- Brew Almond Afterlife any way you like. We recommend following brew instructions to yield a strong cup (or the 4-ounce setting on your single-serve coffee pod machine)
- Scoop vanilla ice cream
- Slowly add your coffee and enjoy!
Want to kick things up a notch?
If you had a REALLY hard day and need something more to elevate your dessert, we recommending adding Amaretto. This Italian liquor packs flavors of marzipan and concentrated almond-oil notes, which complements Almond Afterlife perfectly.
